For some years now I have been "helping on a forum" for poor soul's who have brought a certain make of computer. every so often " and only for a joke" we would request that some poor soul in need of help, should mend his computer with a hammer or some other large heavy object.
Seem's we were not that far off the truth then. As I have just received this update from the forum :))
Those of us who would recommend to punters on the old forum that an upstairs window, or a 28lb hammer if you lived in a bungalow, was the best form of "repairing" a rogue machine will be glad to know that it works.A friend's son dropped his base unit while moving from 1 bedroom to another. It bounced down the first of 2 flights of stairs. This has fixed a USB problem he was having for a month and everything else is working correctly too. So, Percussive Maintenance is still the only alternative to Invasive Surgery.
