No Epson D68 printer cartridges in UK

Epson have not yet supplied the UK with the cartridges for any of the D series printers. So why are retailers selling the printers if new cartridges cannot be supplied to the UK until next week.

To add insult to injury, the ink is produced within the UK !!.

Comet are willing to refund and so are Argos. They were both aware of the problem as of last week. Both have said they will replace it with the exact same model (with inks in) and by the time those inks run out, they should have the cartridges in stock.

DSG group ( Curry's, Dixon's & Comet ) are not selling the D series until the stock of C series has run out, plus they also know about the cartridge problem.

Any site that says they have a good stock of Epson T0611, T0612, T0613 and T0614 cartridges is talking rubbish, cos Epson haven't got any yet . Try Epsons main supply site Here They don't even list the D68 for ink cartridges.

Not a mention off no supplies from Epson anywhere. Now that is good PR

Anybody with the same problem can complain to the Epson UK PR team at:

Just got this from Epson:

QUOTE
Dear ********

Thank you for contacting EPSON e-mail support.

In answer to your enquiry, the Stylus D68 was not released in the UK until September. This is the reason the cartridges were not available from retailers.. The cartridges for the D68 are now available from the BuyEPSON web site depending on stock levels. I am sorry that you have had cause to complain about your printer.

In other words, retailers still ain't got any and Epson only have a small stock. So why sell a printer (from various retail outlets ) that these same retailers and outlets have not got access to the said cartridges for that printer.
